Intelligence testing involves the measurement of an child's intellectual capabilities in several, specific areas. After IQ testing is completed, an "IQ Score" is yielded. IQ testing is helpful in determining a person's strengths or weaknesses in areas including, but not limited to, numerical reasoning, nonverbal reasoning, factual knowledge, attention skills, memory, and spatial relations.
"IQ" is an abbreviation for "Intelligence Quotient."
Children ages 6 years 0 months through 16 years 11 months are appropriate for IQ testing by Dr. Marcil.
Depending on the child's age and abilities, testing can take 60-120 minutes to complete.
