IQ Testing for children in the Orlando & Central Florida area.
Intelligence testing, also known as IQ testing, is a great way for parents to learn about their child's intellectual and cognitive strengths and weakness. IQ testing measures a child's ability to learn.
IQ testing for children is often done so that children can be placed in the appropriate academic learning environments based upon those strengths and weaknesses.
IQ testing for children is conducted by Richard Marcil, Jr., Ph.D., a Licensed Psychologist (#PY0005474) from the State of Florida. Due to Dr. Marcil's credentials, his IQ testing reports are accepted at public and private schools.
Dr. Marcil uses the Wechsler Intelligence Scale For Children - Fourth Edition, or WISC-IV. The WISC-IV is one of the most reliable and valid IQ testing instruments available. It is the most widely used measure of IQ for school placement. The WISC-IV provides a Full Scale IQ score representing general intellectual ability. Additionally, the WISC-IV provides IQ subtest scores that represent intellectual functioning in specific cognitive domains.
The cost of IQ testing with Dr. Marcil is $295.00. This includes administration of the test to your child (up to 2 hours), scoring of the test, and a written report specifying information about your child's abilities in 10 or more intellectual areas. The final report will be available no later than one week from the date of testing.
